The tournament director just announced the beginning of Level 7, and all the remaining players have returned to their seats (31 players remain). Part of the announcement also included the chip average for the active players, which sits at 36,000 (70 big blinds). Late registration/re-entry for Day 1A has been closed, and as a reminder, the chip leader at the end of play today will collect a $10,000 bonus. Charles Welch is almost 100,000 clear of his nearest opponent, but there is still a ways to go before anything is decided.
